General Accountabilities: Senior Technology Managers play a key role in the delivery of technology projects and services to SE2 internal stakeholders and clients by leading teams of technologists. They closely monitor resource demand and ensure there is an appropriate supply of talented staff/capacity, adequate technological capabilities, and that platform wellness initiatives are completed in reasonable timeframes. They partner with SE2 Operations and/or SE2 project leadership to ensure projects and service delivery teams are appropriately staffed. In some cases, Senior Technology Managers may direct the day-to-day workload of their global team members. Senior Technology Managers drive financial outcomes by balancing onshore/offshore resource mix and monitoring budgets. They are responsible for recruiting, motivating and measuring associate performance. Duties & Responsibilities: Directly or indirectly recruit, mentor, and motivate a global team of 10-50 technologists. Directly or indirectly manage the performance of SE2 associates through annual reviews, bi-weekly 1:1s, goal setting, etc. Assemble and manage a budget and organizational financial targets. Coordinate the ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing SE2 platforms. Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers. Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for team members in the areas of insurance, SE2 platform, and technology. Collaborate with Architects to define, drive, and facilitate the creation and adoption of platform architecture and standards. Qualifications: 8+ years of technology, project management, or people management experience. 5+ years of experience managing a team of technologists. Graduate degree in technology, finance or business and relevant leadership experience in the technology field. Expert level decision-making, problem solving, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. Experience driving outcomes for large integrated, geographically-dispersed global delivery teams. Experience with budgeting and performance management (1:1s, goal setting, annual reviews). Experience with recruiting (interviewing, etc) applicants for individual contributor roles and management roles. Relevant professional (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc) certifications required. Experience leading multiple aspects (Service Delivery, COE, Infrastructure) and multiple SE2 platform teams.
