Technical Leads play a key role in the design, development/configuration, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of SE2 software platforms. SE2 Technical Leads work with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfill the needs of SE2 internal stakeholders and clients. Those solutions and/or products help SE2 and SE2 clients to be more efficient and provide better service to end customers. Technical Leads interact directly with project leaders, business stakeholders, and may periodically interact directly with SE2 clients. Technical Leads will facilitate, lead, and enable more junior team members by acting as a mentor for soft skills and/or technical subject matter expert.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a global, cross-functional team to develop innovative software for SE2 stakeholders.
  • Contribute to projects by creating well-designed, customized, testable, efficient code for SE2 platforms.
  • Assist our teams in providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, improvements, or custom enhancements to existing SE2 platforms.
  • Occasionally participate in on-call rotations and/or provide after-hours support.
  • Collaborate with our global teams, internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Act as a mentor and subject matter expert for team members.
  • Validate requirements and designs for SE2 platforms and projects.
  • Assist or lead in the development of software builds for custom software projects and change requests.
  • Assist or lead in defining the requirements for custom-built software projects and change requests.
  • Assist or lead in analyzing requirements to generate level-of-effort estimates for software builds for custom software projects and change requests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, recognize and react to changing business needs and effectively prioritize tasks.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in conjunction with team members and business units. Enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects.

 

Technical skillset required

  • 5 – 7 years IT experience with not less than 4 years of strong expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies with end to end project life cycle experience using Waterfall, Agile, Scrum and Kanban methodologies
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) or comparable Source Control tools including GITHub with Microsoft Windows
  • Experience with Micro Services using .NET Core
  • Experience of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) with XML, JSON data exchange formats, SOAP/RESTful service architecture

Qualifications:   

  • BSc in Computer Science, Computing, Computer Information Systems / BTech / BE / MCA / MTech / ME or equivalent qualification from reputed institutes
  • Undergraduate degree in technology, business, finance, accounting or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • Relevant industry certifications (examples: MCSD, SCJP, CSSLP, etc.) preferred
  • Experience acting as a project lead, technical lead, or people manager.
  • Experience with multiple SE2 platforms. Mastery of one or more SE2 platforms or similar industry systems experience (i.e. Insurance Policy Administration for Life & Annuity Business).
  • Experience with Dependency Injection frameworks (built-in .NET Core, Ninject, Unity)
  • Experience in one or more of the tools – IdentityServer, Informatica Powercenter, MuleSoft, Mulesoft Cloudhub/API Gateway, Hyland Onbase
  • Expert-level ability to develop software in C#, VB.net, Java, or similar languages.
  • Expert-level knowledge of T-SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database concepts.
  • Expert level experience with software engineering tools (Visual Studio, Eclipse, etc.) and methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, etc).
  • Expertise with Microsoft Windows, Office, IIS.
  • Excellent work ethic. Ability to work independently or in diverse teams – including off-shore and near-shore teams.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Effective troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional global team (including off-shore and near-shore teams).
  • Ability to influence, lead, and work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
  • Expertise with advanced technical concepts (examples: design patterns, SOA, SDLC).
