Mark Schultis

Chief Executive Officer

Mark is a tech-savvy and purpose-driven leader with over 20 years of experience in financial services, technology, and advisory services. He leads SE2’s overall business strategy as CEO, guiding the company’s client-focused and technology-driven approach in serving the life and annuity markets.

Mark previously served as SE2’s Chief Customer Officer where he drove integration and alignment across the organization’s revenue-related business functions, including business development, marketing and client servicing. He also oversaw go-to-market strategy and adoption of new solutions and business models.

Prior to joining SE2, Mark served as Senior Vice President and Partner at IHS Markit, a data, analytics, and financial services company, where he spent over 19 years in various roles. Mark most recently served as Global Head of WSO, an industry leading software and services portfolio administration provider. Earlier he was Chief Financial Officer for J.P. Morgan FCS Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of JPMorgan, before the most recent acquisition by Markit. Previously, Mark was a consultant for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the Financial Advisory Services group. Mark holds a B.B.A. in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and has been a CFA charter holder since 2003.

Mark is an avid learner and explorer. He has a competitive spirit and passion for teamwork and team building. In his spare time, he enjoys being with his wife and children, spending time outdoors, listening to music, and all things fitness related.

Chirag Buch

Senior Vice President and Managing Partner – SE2 India

Chirag Buch serves as the Senior Vice President and Managing Partner of SE2 Digital Service India LLP. He is responsible for setting the business services team and creating long-term value for SE2 India, as well as the parent organization.

Chirag is a pioneer in the outsourcing services delivery from India, with 25 years of post-qualification experience working in organizations such as BDO India, Infosys, AXA, WNS, and Sandoz. His expertise includes setting up and running large outsourcing and captive shared service centers across India, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

He has experience in defining and executing large transformation projects in line with an organization’s long-term objectives, which include process standardization and harmonization, LEAN implementation, use of technology, business analytics and modeling, and robotics process automation. An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Chirag holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Chartered Accountant, is ‘LEAN’ Advanced Certified, and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Advanced Management Program.

Janet Dulohery

Vice President of Human Resources

A transformative leader, Janet brings over 20 years of global HR experience to SE2. She’s responsible for building people programs that will empower employees and fuel SE2’s growth and scalability. She’s able to draw on her extensive experience at global high-tech companies, having worked in more than 50 countries across the world. She’s adept at stabilizing companies during periods of rapid growth and change.

Janet operates under the premise that to build a successful company that’s scaled to grow, you have to build a strong leadership team that envisions the path forward and inspires and engages teams.

A passionate and enthusiastic adventurist, she was a Peace Corps volunteer in West Africa, where she actually rode a camel to work.

Mary Anne Durall

Senior Vice President and Head of US Operations

As a key architect of SE2, Mary Anne has been instrumental in making SE2 the company it is today. Combining over 30 years of deep industry knowledge with creativity and passion, she tackles some of the firm’s most intricate challenges to deliver and execute operational excellence for our global insurance partners. As head of our US Operations, she leads the Call Centers, Processing Centers, and Shared Services organizations supporting the administration of more than 2 million annuity and life policies.

During her distinguished career, she has been instrumental in finding ways to transform insurance companies through effective business solutions. Her career began at Sovereign Life of Canada, and she’s lived all over Canada and the US, accumulating vast experience ranging from customer service to large-scale conversions and mergers.

Ashish Jha

Chief Marketing Officer

An entrepreneurial and collaborative marketing and communications leader, Ashish has over 15 years’ experience positioning global organizations in the financial services and insurance industry. His track record of building high-performing marketing teams with a metrics-driven culture makes him a driving force in SE2.

Before joining SE2, Ashish led marketing teams at global technology services and solutions firms such as Tata Consultancy Services, Majesco and Mastek. Ashish is a strong advocate for the voice of the customer and for developing actionable customer insights.

Outside of work, he is involved with wildlife protection initiatives. And when he’s not protecting nature, he’s busy taking photographs of it.

Vinod Kachroo

President and Chief Operating Officer

As the head of global technology and operations, Vinod is leading the digital transformation at SE2, developing a technology platform that’s future-proofed. Vinod joined SE2 in 2015 with an extensive background in the insurance industry as well as technology innovation. He has 33 plus years of experience working for companies like TCS, MetLife, Prudential and AIG. He’s the visionary responsible for leading innovation at SE2 and is committed to generating growth and ensuring that all SE2 associates not only fulfill their potential but increase it exponentially.

A sought-after speaker, author and futurist, Vinod is not only able to create a vision for business and innovation, he’s able to take a complex idea all the way through planning and execution.  Never satisfied with being a spectator, Vinod is an avid runner. He pushes himself to see how fast and far he can go – rules he applies when he’s revolutionizing technology and operations at insurance companies.

John McConnell

Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Corporate Development

John McConnell has over 16 years of experience in corporate finance, investments, and business development. Prior to joining SE2, John worked at Eldridge Industries since its formation in 2015, focusing on corporate finance activities, including the capitalization and financing of Eldridge and its subsidiaries such as Security Benefit, SE2, Cain International, Valence Media, and Stonebriar Commercial Finance, among other Eldridge businesses.

Previously, beginning in 2011, John worked at Guggenheim Partners where he focused on principal investing, private equity investment opportunities, business development, and strategic transactions. Prior to Guggenheim, John was an Associate with Chartwell Investments, a middle-market private equity firm. John began his career at JP Morgan’s Syndicated & Leveraged Finance Group in New York, where he worked with financial sponsors and corporate clients to raise debt capital for leveraged buyouts and corporate financings. John received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Brad Medd

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer at SE2, Brad leads SE2’s technology innovation, product, and delivery transformation and partners on SE2’s go-to-market strategies. Brad has extensive experience across innovation, platform evolution, and product development and has held leadership positions over the last 25 years in the financial, healthcare, and technology industries.

Most recently, Brad was the Co-Head of Markit OnDemand at IHS Markit where he led technology transformation focused on cloud engagements and agile delivery transitions. Prior to IHS Markit, Brad was the Vice President of Product Development and Operations at FIS, a global financial services technology company. Brad received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics, with a Minor in Psychology, from Johns Hopkins University.

An avid outdoorsman, Brad lives with his wife and 2 boys in Boulder, Colorado where they enjoy spending time in the mountains skiing, biking, hiking, and fly fishing.

David Nicolai

Chief Commercial Officer

As Chief Commercial Officer, David drives integration and alignment across the company’s revenue-related business functions, including business development, sales, marketing, and client engagement to accelerate growth for both SE2 and its customers. In his role, David leads our go-to-market strategy, customer success initiatives and adoption of new solutions and core products and services.

He is an accomplished insurance software professional with over 25 years of varied experience in both the business and technical domains. His expertise in core system transformation and digital strategies have evolved out of former roles and experiences with Unum, DXC, SunGard, InsPro, FINEOS and Equisoft.

As the Senior Vice President of Sales and part of the leadership team at FINEOS, David helped build the insurance industry’s leading claims platform, culminating in the company’s successful IPO in late 2019. He holds numerous industry certifications and received his Bachelor of Science in International Business from King’s College.

David currently lives with his wife and three children in Pennsylvania, where he spends much of his free time coaching and attending his two boys’ sporting events.

Tom Spencer

Senior Vice President of Business Development

Tom has been with SE2 since its inception – and has been a dynamic engine in SE2’s rapid growth. With 25 years of experience in the financial services and insurance industry, he takes a consultative approach, bringing leading-edge technology to the nation’s largest insurance companies, transforming their business and improving profits.

Prior to SE2, Tom has worked with and consulted to several financial services companies including DST, GE Insurance Solutions, UnitedHealthcare and TIAA, helping them embrace disruptive technology and innovate to gain efficiencies.

Tom’s positive attitude and sincere approach make him easy to work with. When he isn’t traveling, hiking and fly-fishing with his wife and four children, he’s on the golf course – or on a tractor mowing his enormous lawn.
